Seller T&C

  • All lots are sold to the auctioneers’ conditions of sale.
  • The vendor warrants good title to goods offered for auction free of any bill of sale, hire purchase or leasing or other third-party rights and will indemnify the auctioneers against all claims bought against them.
  • The auctioneers may refuse to offer for sale any items submitted which they consider unsuitable.
  • Lotting shall be decided by the auctioneers.
  • No responsibility will be held by the Barn Auction House for lots stolen or damaged after entry.
  • Vendors will be paid no later than the Thursday following the auction.
  • The auctioneer reserves the right to charge a buyer premium at the current rate
  • Seller Commission on lots sold
    • Hammer price + 15% commission
    • Minimum commission £2.00
  • Minimum reserve £8.00, all items under this are sold with no reserve.
  • Commission and other charges will be deducted before accounting to the seller.
  • The auctioneers will not be liable for any default by the buyers and shall not be obliged to account for the price of any lot unless the buyer has made payment, nor shall they be obliged to enforce such payment by legal proceeding or otherwise.
  • Unsold, unreserved lots will be disposed of if not collected in the time limit given (one week after the auction if not re-lotted for the following auction). Large items will be charged at £10.00 disposal fee. We will re-lot once if required.
